Protesters lock themselves to drill at Sams Creek mine

“Work at a controversial gold mine near Tākaka was halted for one day after local protesters locked themselves to the drill. Protesters say the action marks the beginning of “continued resistance” if their concerns are not addressed by the Australian mining company Siren Gold.”
