Sams Creek Collective has been awaiting an ASX announcement on Siren Gold’s early 2025 drilling work, which has today been released, with
the company talking up its findings and also expansion potential.
Siren Chairman and Interim Managing Director, Brian Rodan comments that “Recent drilling beneath the Scoping Study underground
design has been very successful in identifying zones of arsenopyrite veiningand gold mineralisation more than 200m below existing drillholes, reinforcing the view that mineralisation continues at depth.
“Siren considers that Sams Creek is still significantlyunderexplored, and the project holds the potential to become one of New Zealand’s most exciting new gold development opportunities with significant upside exploration potential beyond the current 953koz resource.”
With two-thirds of the Sams Creek ore resource still only in the ‘inferred’ category, the company acknowledges this, commenting “While
the Scoping Study demonstrates the viability of the Sams Creek Project, withthe results justifying the Company to commit to the next stage of exploration and development, given that a large proportion of the resource in the early stages of the mine life is currently in the “Inferred Resource” category under the JORC Code, the Company is not currently able to release forecast production and financialinformation under ASX listing rules.
So, it’s still guesswork on the majority of the resource. But despite this, Roden states “Siren expects that the mining permit
application will be decided by the end of 2025. Siren plans to complete infill drilling on the SE Traverse, Carapace and Main Zone by the end of June 2026 (Figure 11), so the majority of the Inferred MRE can be upgraded to Indicated. The MRE and Scoping Study will then be updated and released to the ASX in Q3 2026.”

SCC will be releasing a full response to this announcement shortly, responding to the drilling reports and the company’s enthusiasm, which
our community certainly doesn’t share. We will also shortly be holding another public meeting to discuss latest developments and how the project does not have the ‘social licence’ to proceed from our Golden Bay community, which is still waiting for the company to meet and consult with us.
